Gulaman (Agar-Agar) ( Desserts )
2-1/2 c water
2/3 c sugar
1 bar gulaman, about 10" long, broken into small pieces

Combine water and sugar in a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat, stirring constantly and bring to a boil. Add gulaman pieces, continue stirring, and once more bring to a boil. Reduce heat, continue stirring and simmer for 10 minutes until gulaman is fully dissolved. Strain and pour into 8" x 8" or 7" x 11" baking pan. Set aside for 1 hour to cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Cut up gulaman may be used in halo-halo, fruit salads, or sago (tapioca) drinks.
